The Miami Vice and Marie Antoinette of 06? Possibly. Neither are controversial or esoteric though. And I love fucking controversy. Anyways, these two are the only films I lust over for 2007.

How is Summer Palace not controversial? The movie was banned in China, then the director was banned from making movies for the next five years. It has explicit sex scenes, full frontal nudity from both sexes in the same frame, the protests of Tiananmen square, etc. Even Jia Zhangke had to come to Switzerland to see the film because he couldn't see it anywhere else! (We watched it together.)
And this isn't FIST, it's really me.
